Bisabolol
Extract of the Candeia tree
Origin/History:

Originally known as an extract from chamomile flowers, it is nowadays derived from the bark of the Candeia tree (Origin: Brazil)
Functions/Science:
- Anti-inflammatory, soothing, regenerating, antibacterial, anti-fungal
- Especially suitable for dry, sensitive skin as well as impure and problematic skin conditions such as acne
- Bisabolol has a significantly lower allergy rate than chamomile while having the same effect
- Anti-inflammatory: inhibits the response messengers of an inflammation and thus calms irritated skin
- Regenerating: is able to influence the cellular metabolism through special plant enzymes, stimulating skin cell renewal. This way, signs of aging can be reduced and lead to a faster healing of skin irritations
